ACER ASPIRE 5920 MICROPHONE DRIVER

No it recognizes the mic when inserted on the frontal jack and let it work. I can no longer find it as an option. Was this problem ever resolved? What is the trouble with it? So does all laptop from Vista upgrade to w7 will have all this problem? How can this be resolved.
